michelle-kingerika-torres-dilys-commbreakfast2016CASA/LA’s inaugural Community Breakfast at the City Club in Downtown Los Angeles was truly special as we welcomed our special guests from the LA Unified School District, Superintendent Michelle King and its Executive Director of Student Health and Human Services, Erika Torres, who spoke about challenges faced by foster students in LA County and building bridges with our community so that they have the opportunity to succeed.

We were also proud to kick off our Fall fundraising campaign with the announcement of our partnership with Focusing Philanthropy who is matching, dollar-for-dollar, all donations of $500 or more. All contributions will need to be made through Focusing Philanthropy, which does not charge any administrative fees. 100% of all dollars raised will go directly to our programs and services.

Through your continued support, CASA of Los Angeles is able to continue to provide one-on-one advocacy for abused and neglected children in foster care in Los Angeles County.   For more information about Focusing Philanthropy’s match, please contact Marie Carpenter at mcarpenter@casala.org.
