You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack. Learn how to help a student, friend, family member, or coworker in need. Get certified in Mental Health First Aid.

This training focuses on the needs of those working with children and adolescents. You will be taught how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

(A $170 value, this course is provided at no cost through the generous support of Providence St. Joseph Health)
