The Basics of Juvenile Competency (Online)

When: April 21, 2021 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm

This presentation will explain how competency works in juvenile justice hearings. It will discuss different ways that children and youth may be found incompetent in juvenile justice proceedings and the process by which the court makes a competency finding. It will also explain efforts that are made to restore children and youth to competency.
Training is offered online.
