In-Service Training
Advocacy for Youth who are Expecting
When: October 6, 2021 from 12 pm to 2 pm

This training will provide CASA volunteers with a deep understanding of what to expect and do when your youth or non-minor dependent tells you that they are pregnant.
We will cover what choices and rights youth have in this area and the importance of supporting their choices. Issues around confidentiality and appropriate disclosure will be included as well as how to provide support to both the expectant mother and father if they choose to continue the pregnancy. Volunteers who attend this training will come away with concrete resources that can be beneficial for expectant parents.
Training will take place online.
