In-Service Training

Transyouth: their Health and Safety (Online)

When: June 15, 2021 from 12 pm to 2 pm

The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall uprising, which occurred at the end of June 1969. CASA/LA invites you to join in a series of in-service trainings focused on diverse LGBTQIA+ topics.
The third training in our PRIDE series is dedicated to transyouth and their health. Facilitators from the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles will talk to us about the experience of being a young person who is transgender, the unique challenges that trans youth face in getting access to information, and what rights youth have in receiving gender-affirming medical care.

Presented by: Jamie Julien, Psychotherapist II, and Jordyn Held, Psychotherapist I @ Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
