Daily exposure to the hardship and suffering of others can impact how we perceive and interact with the world. This work can activate our own helplessness which can paralyze our ability to actively tend to self. Over time the cumulative toll can increase the risk for burnout. This 1-hour, virtual workshop starts with a frame of permission to be impacted and supports participants in recognizing and understanding the impact of chronic exposure to pain and suffering on self, and how to harness and amplify resilience. Participants will be offered a toolbox of strategies for tending to self, engaging in collective care, and using rituals for care.
