What is my role in a CFT? How can I ensure that the child’s needs are being met? How can I best support follow up?
Join us for this in-person training from CASA/LA’s Youth Justice team. Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings are designed to support team collaboration to address the needs of children in the child welfare and youth justice systems. Their goal is to encourage the child’s support networks to link children to supportive services and individuals that can increase stability in all areas of a child’s life. Your CASA advocacy during these meetings can ensure that CFTs continue to be child focused and engaged in strategies that lead to permanency and stability. In this training, we will review the processes associated with CFTs and how you can join in in your CASA role.
