This in-service training will prepare CASA volunteers to effectively participate in and advocate during DCFS Expectant and Parenting Youth (EPY) Conferences. Participants will learn the purpose and structure of an EPY Conference, the CASA’s supportive role before, during, and after the meeting, and how conferences can be used to identify strengths,  address barriers, and connect youth with meaningful supports. CASAs will leave with concrete strategies and questions they can use to help ensure the youth’s voice and needs remain at the center of the conference.
