Join us for this training with staff from Public Counsel. They will will provide an overview of the housing options for non-minor TAY, 18-24 year olds currently involved in the dependency system. They will review the rights and responsibilities of non-minor dependents (NMDs), including: the right to an appropriate placements, tenants’ rights where applicable, protection from unlawful housing discrimination, and the right to reasonable accommodations including emotional support animals. Finally, our speakers will provide resources and advocacy tools for resolving conflicts with housing providers.
