How can I support my youth’s sexual and reproductive health?
How can I create the environment for honest and nonjudgmental conversations about sexuality and gender with youth?
Where can I find additional information, necessary services, and resources for my youth?
Join us for this training from the Children’s Law Center! CASAs can play a critical role in ensuring youth have a supportive and reliable resource to discuss sexual and reproductive health. Without access to adequate information and services, youth are more likely to be exposed to unsafe sexual practices. This training will address why it is important CASAs know how to have open, honest conversations about sexual and reproductive health with youth, important sexual and reproductive health rights, contraception options, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and healthy relationships. This training will also discuss how these conversations should consider a youth’s gender and sexuality and ways to ensure that their language is appropriate for all youth.
