Monitoring Early Childhood Development – What, When and How…and Why it Matters So Much
October 5 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
This webinar will provide an overview of the importance of early childhood developmental monitoring including an introduction to the free tools and check lists from the CDC’s LTSAE program. Information will be presented on the recent changes to developmental milestones and what you need to know about making a referral for evaluation or services on behalf of a foster care child. Join us to learn about free services available in every community and how to access those services. For those working with older children – behavior challenges seen in teens can often be traced back to early developmental issues, especially if there is compounding trauma. Presenter will discuss how trauma effects development including the long term impacts on brain development.
