The multi-Disciplinary Assessment Team (MAT) provides an in-depth assessment of children and families who come into contact with the Department of Children and Family Services. These assessments are designed to ensure that the social service needs of children entering out-of-home placement are met. Participants in this training will receive education on what the court-ordered Multi-Disciplinary Assessment (MAT) Team is all about. We will cover why is MAT needed and who is eligible? We will also discuss how MAT can be a supportive tool while advocating for the needs of our CASA youth?
