Join us for this training from the Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR)! California stands on the brink of a historic opportunity to lead national youth justice reform by shifting its focus from punishment to providing youth in detention with real chances to transform their lives. There’s a growing movement across the state to create effective pathways to education, including college courses, credentials, and vocational training. This in-service will focus on the efforts of OYCR to support the shift to view young people, not just as those in confinement, but as students with promising futures ahead. This overview will include information about the resources and opportunities currently available to justice system-impacted youth.
