Join us for part one of this two-part in-service training! Children with medical complexity face additional trauma due to their medical conditions. This training will explore factors involved when children are hospitalized, including how they may be traumatized, who might be on their team, and who at DCFS may be involved. This overview will also include a discussion of how a you, as a CASA, can collaborate with those involved and hopefully buffer some of the effects of this trauma. Finally, we will explore how you can better identify and prepare for health and developmental issues that may arise.
