Join the CASA/LA Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) team for this workshop reviewing AB12 services in California. AB12, also known as the California Fostering Connections to Success Act, provides crucial resources and support for foster youth transitioning into adulthood. In this workshop, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the AB12 program, including eligibility criteria, available services, and how to transition to adulthood seamlessly.
This workshop will include an interactive presentation, review of case studies, and group discussions. Through each component of this training, you will learn how to effectively navigate the complexities of the AB12 system and advocate on behalf of your young person. Specifically, we will discuss housing assistance, education and employment support, healthcare access, and independent living skills development.
