How can I support a youth navigating the justice system?
What makes youth vulnerable to contact with the justice system?
How can trauma exposure presents itself as behavior?
Join the CASA/LA Youth Justice Program for this virtual training! CASAs play a critical role in how young people are viewed when they interact with the justice system. In this training, you will learn how to support before, during and after a young person has contact with the justice system. Equipped with this knowledge, you can make a large difference in the outcome for a young person who is systems impacted. We will also explore why and how traumatic experiences can present as behaviors in young people and how this trauma-informed understanding can be a resource when interacting with justice system stakeholders. We hope you’ll join this training and help change the narrative for systems impacted youth.
