On Saturday, October 6, CASA of Los Angeles is presenting an Information and Recruitment Event for members of the community interested in “making a difference – one child at a time.”
The event will be held at Susan Miller Dorsey High School from 10 am to 12 noon, and hosted by Dr. Anissa McNeil, an educator, CASA of L.A. Board Member – and former foster child. It will include a formal presentation, as well as the chance to meet CASA volunteers, hear testimonies from former foster youth, and receive information specific to the African American community. Nearly 40% of the students at Dorsey High today are foster youth.
