This training is part one of a three part series from California CASA entitled Navigating Stress and Prioritizing Wellness.
This series has been designed to empower and equip CASA Staff and Advocates with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate collective, constant, and often overwhelming stress effectively. For youth in foster care, daily stress is compounded by trauma histories, systemic instability, and frequent exposure to complex topics in the media, from climate change to war and political unrest.
Our first session will focus on creating space for genuine conversations with youth – conversations that can reduce isolation, foster trust, and offer co-regulation in the face of uncertainty. This session will help advocates feel more confident, grounded, and equipped in their role as consistent, supportive adults in their youth’s lives.
